The story started slowly, with rambling descriptive phrases, but built to a climax that featured tension, fanatical absurdity, and even some laugh-out-loud comedy. I especially enjoyed the vivid contrast of the small town "Andy Taylor" method of policing versus the "Dirty Harry" big city strategy of the arrogant antagonist.
