The beautiful Rose Gunther has decided to be neither impressed, nor scared by the arrogant Scotsman who whisks her away from her English convent. But try to resist her attraction to the powerful Leith she may, she can’t deny how utterly helpless she is in resisting his sensual touch…
Highland Jewel Highland Heroes Book 1 eBook Lois Greiman
I give it a 4.5 stars. I thought it was a great fast read. It kept me interested to the end even though I guessed what the twisted at the end would be even from the start of the book. Guess I have read too many of these types of books. I only took a half star away as I like more heat in my books. If you like the more intimate scenes she does not describe much. I do not let that keep me from enjoying book, if it is well written. Which this one was. The person who wrote the 2 review was wrong. They do fall in love with each other earlier on in the book. They both just fight it, and are not even willing to think about it or acknowledge it. Leith says she will be his wife from the first, though he thinks he is a Laird and therefore cannot love her because that would make him soft. Rose/Fiona was set on being a nun, therefore she fought the attraction until they consummated their handfasting, which Rose was not planning on doing since she planned to leave in a year. She could have added in Colin's side story as you knew what he was going to do since there is not a book about him.Sex content low/medium.

Highland Jewel Highland Heroes Book 1 eBook Lois Greiman Reviews
Very good book - one of those you can't put down!
Keeps you glued to it first page to last!
it was a good story line but i think women read romance books for a certain reason and so even though it had a good story line there was hardly any romance in it!! The main characters didnt even like eachother even tell the very ending which was strange because at some point you would think they would fall in love with eachother but they dont. So im not sure why its even considered a romance because there was nothing sensual in the book.
takes my mind off real problems - enjoy story lines - some remind me of ancesters life that they lived
this book was a great read. i have read it several times. i keep going back to it every few months.
good
I loved this story. I especially loved Rose's version of being a pious nun. I am so glad she decided to except her destiny and except Leith as her husband. It was a fun story to read and I loved the twins Colin and Roderic. I am now reading Highland Flame which is Roderic's story. I am hopeful it will be equally as good.
I am so enjoying The Highland Hero's Series. It has kept me on my toes as to what will happen next. I still have a couple to read. I do not believe there is anything that I disliked about this book and have mentioned it to a few of my friends as a good book to read along with the rest of the books in the series. I truly enjoy reading books from this author. Even though I have been reading for years now I have acquired a few best authors I love and continue to read from these authors. But I have started branching out to some other authors and enjoying their reads also. So it's a tough life out there and I decided a way to fix my problem. I'll just have to read more books per week. Oh darn.
